Octane Painting

4D Publish now has a connection with Octane. You will need Octane version 3.06 or greater for this feature to work.

Painting in C4D

When using the Paint Brush you can paint in the C4D Viewport on Standard Materials and it will update directly in the Octane Live Viewer (LV).

People who do not have sculpting can use Paint Brush Standard in conjunction with a Canvas in the viewport for a Stencil.

There are 3 different update modes you can choose

Never: It will not update the LV at all
During Stroke: As you draw a brush stroke it will update in the LV. This will be slow.
After Stroke: When you mouse up after drawing a stroke it will then update the LV with the brush stroke.
